How was your day, ‘my boy’ — a term of endearment I often use with him

by | Featured Poetic Beliefs

“I’m doing great, alhamdulillah,” he uttered as he stood under a rainspout, warm Bangladesh downpour enhancing his upper silhouette.

I knew he was blissfully living in the moment, flirting with his lens, eager to send me another selfie tease. Covered in muck, having finished a barefoot soccer game in a rice field.

His morning dose of youthful energy is the daily wake-up call I need to feel alive.

“If you’re great, then I am great,” I lovingly replied.

Why is Allah so good to me, I thought?

Like clockwork, we then text in sync, ‘In-sah-Allah. We will be together soon.’

This is what pure love feels like!

Ibrahim’s spontaneous artistic expression in a downpour is a sight to behold.

His love for the camera is not about ego but a beautiful display of pride, self-confidence and creative expression.

He captured and edited this spontaneous compilation on his iPhone in the unique setting of a torrential downpour in Bangladesh, a moment that he then shared on his social media.

Impressed by Ibrahim’s spontaneous creation, I was inspired to pen something poetic, adding another layer of artistry to the moment.
